The way I think it should be done is if possible expand on the code of beta 4 and add something new to tempt players back first, fix the lag bug,maybe something else aswel,l call it plan of attack beta 5, and then start with the hl2dm code to make poa v1.0 (hopefully being able to copy the code used in upgrading beta 4 to beta 5 but with minor changes
This way people realise that poa is still there and start playing it again, then when they see screenshots + art etc from version 1 they'll say to their friends "Can't wait till plan of attack v1.0 comes out" so a new person learns of the mod
The code will probably be the slowest bit to do so start at first on the hl2dm code then when there issome content from the mappers and moddelers patch it into the current poa code and name it beta 5, then when the time comes to release v1 it shouldnt take too long to implement the stuff patched into beta 5.
By doing it this way you draw back more players with beta 5, have people to play with and also get free advertising for version 1  |

The current plan is to keep the current gameplay and make any changes AFTER the release of beta five. We've already discussed this. _________________ I registered exactly at midnight on april 15, no now it says I was a day late! argh!

I think its still open for discussion.
Depending on how much work ProZak is willing to do, we might be able to throw the Suppression game mode in along with the lag fix, maybe a new map or two as well, and call it Beta 5.
Players will be much more willing to come back to the game to try out new major features like that. And then we can let them know that theres a complete overhaul in 1.0 that is on the way, which might make them stay. _________________

well sculy is nearing completion (gimme a day of hardcore mapping, and i am done)
after which i will sent it to pizza to add details/change things that just look bad if they are there
and than to ducky for optimalization and back to me for compiling, so scully should be ready whitin a week , *sobs, now just the minimap XD* _________________

Anyone who is working on any kind of Sully or Light revamp should not be afraid to make layout changes.
I've been working on my own Light remake that remains true to the classic Light - everything looks and feels the same, but fleshed out in detail and built from scratch for optimization. _________________
